The BI-directional design of the Ramén KS Ball Sector Valve

Thanks to its bi-directional capability, the Ramén KS Ball Sector Valve maintains precise flow control and seat tightness even when installed in reverse. This reduces internal wear and extends its service life in abrasive applications.

BI-directional design

The Ramén KS Ball Sector Valve is normally installed with the throttling ball sector edge on the inlet side of the valve, positioning the vena contracta – where velocity peaks – inside the valve body. Thanks to its bi-directional capability, it can also be installed in the reverse direction, polacing the vena contracta outside the valve body. This is particularly suitable when handling abrasive media.

Operational benefits

Thanks to its bi-directional capability, the Ramén KS Ball Sector Valve maintains precise flow control and seat tightness even when installed in reverse. With the vena contracta on the outlet side, it minimizes internal wear and extends service life in abrasive applications. This makes the KS valve an irreplaceable component in critical systems requiring flexible installation and reliable operation.
