Automation
Industrial automation has been a natural part of any process industry for decades. It increases productivity and profitability and contributes to higher quality, more flexibility and additional safety. Industrial automation allows companies to run a manufacturing plant for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This leads to a significant improvement in the productivity and profitability of the company. By using Ramén control valves and regulators instead of standard valves the accuracy and reliability of the process will guarantee a true 24/7 production.
Automation is needed to control and move the valves
To control and move the valves Ramén supplies different types of automation such as positioners, pneumatic actuators, electrical actuators and I/P converters of well-known brands. They have all been tested together with our valves and approved by us. The combination of actuator and positioner is important to make sure the whole valve solution meets the customers’ expectations and our high quality and reliability standards.
-
Electric actuators
Ramén Valves offers high quality electric actuators from well-known manufacturers and leading brands in the market (e.g. Oden Control, Auma, Rotork Sweden (Remote Control). We supply actuators for all power requirements (24-400 VAC/VDC). These actuators can also provide various communication protocols such as Foundation Field Bus, Profibus, Modbus, Hart and wireless. Some has an optional positioner and some built-in.
-
Pneumatic actuators
Pneumatic actuators use pressurized air to generate mechanical force to operate the valves. They are the most widely used actuators in different industries delivering quick response to the process requirements. We provide our customers with a various range of high quality pneumatic actuators from well-known brands (e.g. AirTorque, Wirematic and Rotork) to assure an accurate and stable control, minimum maintenance and maximum service and support to end users.

Positioners
Positioners are used to control the air load pressure on the valve actuators. The positioner forces the actuator to move the valve until the desired position is reached and balanced according to the output signal from the controller. The control signal to the positioner could be electrical or pneumatic. They can be 3-15psi, 4-20 mA, 0-10V, digital or different protocols like HART or Profibus.

I/P Converters
I/P converters are used to convert an analog signal (4 to 20 mA) to a proportional linear pneumatic output (3 to 15 psig). This type of device is called I/P converter since it converts a current signal (I) to a pressure signal (P).
